Do You Have A Healthcare Horror Story?

Almost everyone I talk to has a Healthcare Horror Story. It doesn’t have to be that way. Here’s why:

Download my free ebook, Agile Process Innovation-Hacking Lean Six Sigma for Results.

“Hi, I’m Jay Arthur, author of “Lean Six Sigma For Hospitals” and QI Macros [software].

“I think almost everybody I talk to has some sort of healthcare horror story. Some story about a friend or a loved one who was harmed while in the care of somebody in in the healing profession. It doesn’t have to be that way. There’s a goal afoot to try and achieve zero harm, to create hassle-free healthcare, and it’s possible, right?

“What I’d like to encourage you to do if you know somebody in healthcare: Can you help them learn the tools of Lean and Six Sigma (they call it Process Improvement) and start to make improvements? They can take my free Yellow Belt course online at www.lssyb.com and start using the Tools of Quality: control charts, Pareto charts, histograms, fishbone [diagrams] to start to solve these problems.

“The Institute for Healthcare Improvement estimates that one out of every two patients suffers some sort of preventable harm while in the hospital. It doesn’t have to be that way, you know. Let’s start a movement. Let’s get everybody involved in achieving zero harm. It may sound impossible, but if you don’t try, you’re not going to get there.

“That’s my Improvement Insight. Let’s go out and improve something this week, like healthcare. It’s good for all of us.”
