Books to Simplify and Clarify Lean Six Sigma

After weeks of Six Sigma Green or Black Belt training, many people are still confused about what to do and where to start. These people tell me: “Jay, I read your Lean Six Sigma Demystified or Lean Six Sigma for Hospitals book and it clarified Six Sigma. I felt like I finally knew what to do.”

“Hi, I’m Jay Arthur, author of Lean Six Sigma Demystified and Lean Six Sigma for Hospitals

“Over the last decade, I’ve been at conferences and talking to people on the phone, and they say, “Jay, I got my Green Belt training and my Black Belt training (or whatever it was), and I was still confused until I read your Demystified book.” Some others say, “Because I read your hospitals book, then it all made sense.”

Brené Brown talks about the “FFT,” the “First Freaking Time” that you do something; it doesn’t matter if it’s fixing a faucet or dealing with a pandemic, that first freaking time is hard. A lot of people tell me that after they come out of their training, guess what? They read this book or they read the hospitals book and everything seemed to make sense and they got going.

“So that’s my Improvement Insight for this week: If you or someone you know is still confused about Lean and Six Sigma, guess what? Go buy one of my two books. You can buy them on Amazon, it’s cheaper there; cheaper than I can buy them from my publisher, so I just go buy them there.

“All right? So that’s my Improvement Insight, and if you have people that need to learn Lean and Six Sigma they can go to my website www.lssyb.com and get free Lean and Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. (I charge for certification, but the training is free.) There’s also my Agile Lean Six Sigma Trainer Training if you want to know how to do Agile and hack Lean and Six Sigma and start getting results in a matter of a day or two, then go out there learn how to teach people that way.

“So let’s create a hassle-free America, hassle-free healthcare. Let’s go out and improve something this week.”
