QI Macros Data Mining With Excel Workshop

A One Day Workshop

QI Macros and Data MiningEven though the QI Macros are easy to learn and use, you might want a more in depth class on all of the functions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how to use the QI Macros charts for Breakthrough Improvement and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Understand how to use QI Macros templates
  • Understand how to use the Statistics Tools
  • Understand how to use the Data Transformation Tools

To maximize learning, we use your data for examples. Excel files of delay, defects and variation must be available at least one week before class begins. We'd be happy to sign a nondisclosure statement.

Workshop Outline:

  1. Create improvement stories using control graphs, pareto charts and fishbone diagrams.
  2. Use the Control Chart Wizard to select and draw control charts. Use control charts to analyze the stability of processes (Are they repeatable and predictable?)
  3. Use Histograms to analyze process capability
  4. Use the QI Templates for Lean Six Sigma.
  5. Use statistical tools for analysis.
  6. Use Data Mining Wizardto turn corporate data into powerful improvement stories.
  7. Use Data Transformation tools to manipulate tables of data and analyze "comments".
