QI Macros Network Installation
Install QI Macros for All Users on your Network
Put the macros on the network. Then on each PC, set Excel to point to the Alternate Startup Directory (e.g., g:\qimacros\xlstart.) The macros will load off the network.
Excel 2021 to 2024 and Office 365:
Click on the Office icon, Excel Options, Advanced, then scroll down to General and input the file path into "At startup, open all files in."
Advantages:
- You save time, because a single network copy is easier to manage and update.
Disadvantages:
- Busy networks may make loading Excel longer, because you have to load the QI Macros over the network.
Licensing:
- QI Macros is a single user license so you need to purchase one license for each user that will be given access to the software. Quantity discounts are available.
