Additional Compatibility and Incompatibility Notes:

- Compatibility is based upon the most up-to-date Service Packs and Office Updates.

- "Office Apps" does not support VBA and therefore is not compatible with QI Macros.

Compatibility Policy

When Microsoft and Apple release new Operating Systems and/ or versions of Excel, we seek to have QI Macros compatible when the release comes out, or at the latest by the next bi-annual release of QI Macros.

Microsoft and Apple releases are usually shortly followed by Office Updates to fix critical problems.

And while every new release of QI Macros seeks to be backward compatible with as many releases of Windows, macOS, and Excel as possible, it cannot pretend to be forward compatible with future changes (i.e., Office Updates, along with new versions of Excel and Operating Systems).

We seek to support recent Excel changes, however, we do not provide endless support.

Windows, macOS, and Excel Versions No Longer Supported by Microsoft or Apple

While we believe that QI Macros could potentially work with unsupported versions of Windows, macOS, and Excel, we cannot guarantee compatibility.

This is because security patches are also included in Office Updates and supported Operating Systems. Users with unsupported versions of Excel and Operating Systems are no longer being provided security patches or Office Updates.

SPC Software for Tablets and iPads

Windows 10 and 11 Tablets that offer full versions of Excel 2019, 2021, and 2024/Office 365, will fully support all QI Macros functionality.

iPads

Any QI Templates files that do not require VBA, work in Excel for the iPad. However, please note that the macros will not work because Microsoft has yet to release a version of Excel for the iPad that supports VBA code.
