Still true. Here&#8217;s why:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/784813661?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&#8220;Hi, I&#8217;m Jay Arthur, author of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Lean-Six-Sigma-Hospitals-Improving\/dp\/1259641082\/\">Lean Six Sigma For Hospitals<\/a>\u201d and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qimacros.com\/demo\/\">QI Macros [software]<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8220;Again, I was re-reading Deming&#8217;s book, and in here (wherever that is), Deming talks about &#8220;Where does most of the problem come from? 94 percent belong to the system\u2026&#8221; The system. &#8220;Six percent are special causes.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8220;Now, I found this mentioned in a book on direct mail marketing of all places, but this is actually in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Out-Crisis-Press-Edwards-Deming-dp-0262535947\/dp\/0262535947\/ref=dp_ob_title_bk\">Out Of The Crisis<\/a>,\u201d so I found the original statement of that. Maybe we should focus on systems, not special causes, not people, not nada! It&#8217;s the system, stupid! (I&#8230; misquote Ronald Reagan there.)<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8220;So that&#8217;s my Improvement Insight. Let&#8217;s get out there and start working on the systems.
