Are you looking for a control chart that will only graph your most recent data points?

• Do you add new data every month but only want to see the most recent 12 months?
• Do you add new data every day but only want to see the most recent 30 days?

The QI Macros now contain control chart templates for rolling data for c, n, p, u and XmR charts. To use these templates:

1. Click on the QI Macros menu and select Fill in the Blank Templates then SPC Charts.



2. Click on one of the control chart templates to open it (e.g. XmR Four Pak.)
3. The QI Macros control chart templates are actually made up of several worksheets. Click on the second worksheet labeled rolling (e.g. XmR Rolling.)



4. Input your data into the yellow input area.
5. To the right of the chart there is a yellow input box labeled Rolling.
6. Input the number of points you want graphed - lets say 12.



7. Now even if your data contains 30 points, only the last 12 points will be graphed and used in the control limit calculations.
8. If you add a new point, the chart and control limit calculations will roll off the 13th most recent point and add the new one.

Here is a list of the worksheets in the control chart templates with links to more information:

• Control Chart with Center Line based on the Average - uses the average of your data for the center line.
• Control Chart with Rolling Data and Control Limits - graphs the most recent data points as defined by you.
• Control Chart Center Line based on the Median (X charts only) - uses the median of your data for the center line instead of the average.
• Short Run Control Chart - compares your data points against a target value for each point. For use when you are making a few parts of different sizes.
• Horizontal Control Chart worksheet - for data organized in rows versus columns.
• Control Chart with Fixed Control Limits - allows you to enter fixed or historical control limits.
