Box and Whisker Plot Analysis
Perform Box and Whisker Plot analysis to determine variation
and central tendency of data due to time, parts, and production tools.
The box represents the distance between the 1st and 3rd quartiles.
The whiskers show the highest and lowest data points or 1.5 times
the box (Q3-Q1). Outlier points are those that are greater than 1.5 times
(Q3 -Q1).
- If the box is all yellow, then there is no difference between the
1st quartile and the median.
- If the box is all green, there is no difference between the 3rd quartile
and the median.
