Even through the QI Macros are easy to learn
and use, you might want a more in depth class on all of the functions.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how to use the QI Macros charts for Process Improvement
and Lean Six Sigma.
- Understand how to use the QI Macros templates
- Understand how to use the Anova and Analysis Tools
- Understand how to use the Data Transformation Tools
Workshop Outline:
- Create improvement stories using line graphs, pareto charts and
fishbone diagrams.
- Use the Control Chart Wizard to select and draw control charts.
Use control charts to analyze the stability of processes (Are they
repeatable and predictable?)
- Use Histograms to analyze process capability
- Use the QI Templates for Lean Six Sigma.
- Use Anova and other tools for analysis.
- Use Excel PivotTables to turn corporate data into powerful improvement
stories.
- Use Data Transformation tools to manipulate tables of data and
analyze "comments".

- SPC Simplified Workbook
- Lean, Six Sigma and SPC Quick Reference Cards
Additional: QI Macros SPC Software for Excel
Prework: To maximize learning, we use your data for
examples. Excel files of delay, defects and variation must be available
at least one week before class begins. We'd be happy to sign a nondisclosure
statement.
Course Length: 8 hours
Participants: up to 25
Facilities: A computer lab or laptop computers are essential
to learning the QI Macros.
Investment Options: (includes all US travel and training materials)
- $5,000 with 30-day evaluation version of the QI Macros SPC Software
for Excel.
- $7,500 includes QI Macros SPC Software for Excel licenses for
all 25 participants.
- $9,995 - Option 2 plus an additional day of individual and/or
team coaching/ to analyze data or develop improvement projects.
