Congratulations! You've just downloaded the easiest, most robust SPC Software for Excel - The QI Macros.Once you download the file, just double click on the qimacros-30-day-trial.exe to install the software. Watch Video. Then start Excel. You'll notice the QIMacros menu has been added to Excel's toolbar.
To Draw a Chart:Just 1) select your data and 2) choose a chart from the pulldown menu. Watch Video.
For control charts, try the control chart wizard which will analyze your data and choose the best chart automatically. If you don't have any data, no problem. We've installed sample data for all of the charts on your machine in c:\qimacros\testdata. To Open a Chart or other Template:1) Choose "Fill-in-the-Blanks Templates" from the QI Macros pulldown menu and select from any of the charts (e.g., SPC-c Chart) or other templates listed (e.g., flowcharts, fishbones, etc.) Watch Video. 2) Just type or paste data into the chart template. Input areas are usually shaded in yellow. 3) Use Excel's drawing toolbar to insert boxes, arrows and other symbols onto the template. To Use the Anova and Statistical ToolsJust 1) select your data and 2) choose a statistical tool from the pulldown menu (e.g., Anova, Regression, etc.) Watch Video. To Use the Data Transformation ToolsJust 1) select your data and 2) choose a data transformation tool from the pulldown menu (e.g., paste, restack, etc.) Watch Video. If you have many rows of text values that need to be summarized, click on a heading for up to four columns of data and try the Pivot Table Wizard. It will check your data and attempt to create the best way to summarize your data. QI Macros HelpNear the bottom of the QI Macros pulldown menu you'll find the help file. In it you'll find further descriptions of each of the tools and templates. Watch Video. In the following lessons, we'll take a more detailed look at each of the main features of the QI Macros.
